We have over the years successfully delivered the following programmes:

  • Training of Trainers on a World Bank Project which included capacity building of members of East African Community in the areas of Business Planning, Strategy, Credit Underwriting, Marketing, Product Development, Digital Financial Solutions, Financial Analysis, Agricultural Value Chain Financing, Risk Management, Internal Control Framework, Accounting and Financial Reporting and MIS.
  • Providing Capacity building Sessions across the globe on Social Performance Management, Governance and Code of Ethics, Planning and analysis, Leadership and Communication Skills, HR Management and Performance Evaluation, Poverty Status & Impact Assessment (for example Application of PPI), Management development Program, Acceleration Program, Pathway Program, Customer Care Program, Financial Management, certification in microfinance (similar to Boulder program), project management, product design and development, risk and delinquency management.
  • Delivered National Certification program in Microfinance Cameroon: The MA Global developed and trained the trainers on the delivery of the national certification course for microfinance practitioners in Cameroon. This is the national program and since we implemented this, the program has trained over 700 professionals.
  • National Certification program in Microfinance Ghana: The MA Global developed and trained the trainers on the delivery of the national certification course for microfinance practitioners in Cameroon. This is the national program and since we implemented this, the program has trained over 250 professionals.
  • Professional Certification in Financial Analysis: is designed to deepen the economic and financial variables that microfinance practitioners have to consider and analyse in order to take decisions about the performance of their institutions.
  • Microfinance Acceleration Programme: The MA Global Acceleration program will teach you the fundamental concepts specific to your country on how your institution can accelerate, improve its performance and at the same time deliver innovative products and services to those that at the bottom of the economic pyramid. The Microfinance Acceleration program is shaped around strategic management consulting; it will assist you to integrate best practices for operations, governance, risk management, financial analysis, and fundraising.
  • Yearly training Programme: Since January 2010, we have been delivering a yearly training program on Financial Analysis, Strategic Management, Risk Management, and Fraud and internal control in the UK. This is attended by practitioners and professionals from all over the world.
  • Collaboration with the Nigeria Association of Microfinance Banks – Nigeria: In collaboration with the National Association in Nigeria, we developed the national certification course on internal auditing, credit management, financial controls, and corporate governance for the Association. January 2013 – present.
  • Echo Bank Nigeria: The MA Global delivered the association’s acceleration program to staff of the microfinance department in Echo bank in Lagos. The acceleration program is based on four modules: the changing face of microfinance, product development, financial analysis and risk management – November 2015
  • Asia Institute of Finance: The MA Global delivered a comprehensive training program for the Asia Institute of finance under a strategic partnership. We developed a detailed curriculum based on eight modules; this is now being used in the region to train staff of microfinance institutions.
  • Belize Training Programme: in January 2011 the MA Global delivered a 3-weeks rural finance training course for the Belize Credit Union League, in the framework of a rural finance project financed by IFAD and Government of Belize.
  • Development Ratings program: The MA Global developed a rating and evaluations tool that was used to rate institutions for microfinance institutions that were members of the Rural Finance Programme in Nigeria. In total we rated over 150 microfinance institutions over a three-year period.
  • Training for Regulators in Nigeria – In October 2011, we designed and delivered a training program for microfinance regulators in Nigeria. This was a one-week program for managers of the Central Bank of Nigeria.
